Frequently asked questions
Do you handle emergencies?
We don't offer 24/7 service, but we do provide fast response. Our hours are Monday-Friday 9am-6pm and Saturdays 10am-2pm. We handle requests in order and book the technical visit as soon as possible.
What warranty do you give?
1-year installation warranty on equipment we install. Keep SolAir's annual maintenance and your installation warranty extends to 3 years.
What warranty do the units have?
Units we sell generally have 3 years parts warranty per manufacturer conditions. With Carrier, you also get 5 years on the compressor.
What brands do you repair?
Carrier, Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Fujitsu, Toshiba, Hitachi, Panasonic and Bosch. We also diagnose other brands depending on model, age and parts availability.
What areas do you cover?
Fuengirola, Mijas, Benalmádena, Marbella and Torremolinos, plus the Costa del Sol. Travel costs may apply outside our usual area.
Do you work with communities and agencies?
Yes. We work with home-owner communities, property managers, real-estate agencies, businesses and rental properties.
Do you speak English?
Yes. We serve customers in Spanish, English and Swedish, and also work with Norwegian and other Scandinavian clients.
Does maintenance extend the warranty?
Yes. With SolAir's annual maintenance, your installation warranty goes from 1 to 3 years.
How long does an installation take?
We typically install the unit within 48-72 hours of the quote visit, depending on scheduling and the type of installation.
What type of units do you install?
Split, multi-split (several indoor units with one outdoor unit) and ducted systems, for homes, communities and commercial premises.
How do I know what capacity I need for my room?
It depends on room size, orientation, insulation and the number of windows. We assess it for free during the quote visit so the unit isn't over- or undersized.
What does the micron vacuum you mention involve?
Before charging the refrigerant, we evacuate the circuit with Fieldpiece measuring equipment down to a deep vacuum (measured in microns). This removes moisture and air from the circuit — the most common cause of early breakdowns.
My air conditioning is dripping water, is that normal?
A little condensation from the outdoor unit is normal. If the indoor unit drips or water gets into the home, it's usually a blocked drain or a levelling issue — we'll check it during a repair visit.
Can I install air conditioning in a rental flat or a community of owners?
Yes. We coordinate with the landlord or the community when authorisation is needed for the outdoor unit, and we follow the building's rules.
Do you also do electrical work and cleaning, not just air conditioning?
Yes, with the same certified technicians: low-voltage electrical installations and professional cleaning for homes, communities and businesses.
Is the quote free?
Yes. The quote is always free and with no obligation.
